Who Is Alan J. Eckstrand...
And How Will You Benefit by Working with Him?

After 37 years of serving the public with individually-tailored tax, retirement and investment plans, Alan Eckstrand’s career shows two major themes: A commitment to education and a commitment to his community.

In 1974, after a brief career teaching middle school, Alan’s career in financial services began at Met Life. Excited at the prospect of helping others achieve their financial goals, Alan’s commitment to his work showed, and within 4 years he was responsible for five financial planners and their training and certification.

After such success, Alan didn’t wait long to start his own firm. From 1980 to 1993, Alan and partner Rocco Battista owned Baldwin Eckstrand Associates in Torrington. The firm provided clients with individualized investments and retirement plans, and helped small businesses plan for their taxes and employee benefit programs.

In 1993, Battista retired, and Alan narrowed his focus to creating individual tax, investment and retirement plans. At this point, Alan’s work started to reflect his interest in education, by helping his clients plan for their children’s college.

Alan Eckstrand’s career has grown in tandem with his own continued education. In 1982, he became Chartered Life Underwriter, and in 1986 Chartered Financial Consultant. In 2002, Alan earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation. Add all that to a Bachelor’s degree, and some voice lessons, history reading, and his role as President of the German American Society of Bristol, CT, and you’ll start to get a picture of how beneficial of an asset Alan can be for you and your finances.

Today, when Alan is not working, he’s still committed to learning more…whether it be voice lessons, reading history, or even lifting weights. Alan Eckstrand lives in the Torrington area with his wife, Marie, and their three cats, Sasha, Benny, and Henrietta.

Alan is also active with volunteer work in the community. He serves as Vice President of the Torrington Chapter of Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH), a local food bank and homeless shelter, and is President of the German American Society of Bristol.

In order to provide his clients the level of service he believes they expect and deserve,
Alan only takes on a small number of new clients each year who are committed to achieving lifetime financial security.

Alan J. Eckstrand, President of Alan J. Eckstrand, LLC has helped more than 1600 clients grow their wealth without the risk, worry or volatility of stocks, real estate, and other investments, achieve financial security and reach their short-term and long-term personal and financial goals and dreams.

Alan has put his clients on track to building more than $173.5 million of additional wealth they would most likely not have had otherwise, through safe, proven financial strategies. That's why his clients think of him as their "secret weapon," helping them build and safeguard their wealth.

One of only 250 life insurance agents in the country who have successfully completed the rigorous training program and continuing education required to become Bank On Yourself Authorized Advisors, Alan has been in financial services for 37 years. He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, and a Member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
