Jean Hummel
Jean grew up in a military family. Having lived all over the country, she learned how to make friends quickly and how to keep her friends for life. She followed her parents’ example and enlisted in the US Air Force where she met her husband, Mark. They got married and have been together ever since. They have two beautiful daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and five fabulous grandchildren. Family and friends are everything to Jean.
While stationed in Germany, Jean worked at the bank on base. She was put in charge of the $250,000 of unpaid debt owed to the bank by service members. By creating relationships with commanders and first sergeants, she was able to discuss the issues and create processes to resolve the debt. Over four years, Jean recaptured 90% of that debt while teaching the service members money management, including budgeting and check book skills.
After moving back to the United States, Jean volunteered at the local Red Cross as a CPR and First Aid instructor. She was eventually hired to train other volunteers to become instructors. This led Jean to a career in the YMCA where she was entrusted with the dual roles of District Vice President and Child Care Vice President simultaneously.
Jean was inspired by both Debbie and Mark, who are both Professionals in our agency. She enjoys working with clients to protect their families and guide them to create wealth and a source of self-financing.
Mark and Jean live in the Florida panhandle with Jean’s stepmom and their 3-legged Boxer dog, Dozer. They are active in their church and enjoy riding their Recumbent Tadpole Trikes.
