Sam Arieff
Sam started investing in 1999 and within 9 years, his portfolio got smashed by more than 40% on two occasions. The global financial crisis of 2008 wiped away trillions of dollars of wealth. Eight million Americans lost their jobs and tens of thousands more lost their homes. Wall Street got bailed out and the middle class got the bill. Sam watched friends and family members delay their retirement plans or abandon them entirely. After that, he decided that there must be a better way, and he set out to find it.
While working on his MBA, Sam studied the financial crisis of 2007-2008, and came to question many assumptions he had held for years. He realized that several financial philosophies he previously accepted were completely inconsistent with his own observations and beliefs, and Sam mastered the critical concepts that he shows his clients today. Sam learned how to reduce his exposure to many common financial hazards and better yet, use them to his advantage.
As a retired Air Force officer and current airline pilot, Sam specializes in high-net-worth professionals, clients with military pensions, disability payments, and corporate 401(k) plans. But he loves to help anyone who needs help – and these days that’s just about everyone!
Sam’s background and experiences include competing as a Division I collegiate athlete, degrees with honors in Psychology, Public Policy and Business Administration, 22 years as an Air Force pilot, 12 years as an airline pilot, and real estate investing. He currently resides in Florida, is married to his boss Tasha, and has 2 wonderful young daughters. Sam likes to use the remaining minutes kiteboarding and wrestling with his 6 year-old.
